Day 10: Los Angeles, CA
- No traveling. Just enjoying LA weather. And traffic.
Our tickets home weren’t until Sunday, so with a loss and no more basketball, Abby and I had two days to bond and check out LA. Since Abby was in and out of school for this roadtrip, I decided to do some educational sights. Today, it was the La Brea Tar Pits. We’re both a bit into science, so it was a neat (and smelly diversion). After that, it was time to get some ‘touristy’ sights in, so we then headed to Hollywood Boulevard to see the Walk of Fame and Chinese Theater. We started to get a bit hungry and stumbled on Disney’s Soda Fountain & Studio Store, so being ‘MouseJunkies’, we decided to grab a late lunch there. I swear, the pasta looked (and tasted) the same as it does in Disney World.

Abby asked to see the Hollywood sign, so we headed over to the Griffith Observatory. A great view of the sign, plus a fun tour and telescopes, it was a hit. Between here and La Brea, we both had our fill of science for the day!

Afterwards, we made our way back to the hotel to sit by the pool and unwind. Dinner was tacos from Gina’s in Glendale. Definitely homemade and quite tasty!
